GAME Plan More information

G: My goal will be to Model Digital-Age Work and Learning and Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments.

A: I will begin to look at the curriculum for the up coming year and design digital-age learning experiences to go along with what I will be teaching. By doing this and setting up a blog for students and teachers throughout the school to talk. Other teachers as well as students will be seeing the modeling of digital age learning.

I will set up a wiki. Students will be able to post on the wiki about the literature that they are reading. One page on the wiki will be for recommendations of literature that they should read. Another page will be for parents to communicate will me and their student.

M: I will monitor the progress by watching the students in my classroom grow. I will monitor the progress of the staff by helping other teachers and watching myself become a change agent.

The wiki will also be monitoring their literature and what responses they are having to the literature through the wiki. I will also be able to see what they are learning through the readings.

E: I will see if others teachers or staff is interested in what I am doing. I will extend my services out to help them so that others are on board with what I am doing.

Needs:
I will need to set up a blog for teachers at my school to share ideas about lessons.

I also want to set up a place where they can post positive celebrations that took place during the day or week.

I will also need to set up a place for the students in my class to blog. I also need to ask permission from all parents for all the students to use the internet and to blog online. I will have the site be protected so that outside people could not get onto the site.

This site will help me communicate with parents and students.

When students use the site or wiki they will need access to the computers. I will need to check out the mobile lab.

  1. Amy,
I really enjoyed reading about all of the different blog pages that you are going to set up for your students and staff. Instead of using 2 different blogs for your classes, maybe you could just have them post on the same blog in 2 different spots. I think that by creating only 1 blog this will give not only yourself less work, but would be a little easier on the students so they do not have to remember another password and username. Also, they would only have to log in to one web site instead of 2. I really enjoy the idea of having a section for the celebrations that took place during the day or week. This idea will really help the dynamic of your classroom. I really hope that this works for you this year and I would be interested to hear how your students respond to the celebrations. Good luck!
